As I stole a bit of Thursday's rambling blog post to say, yesterday (or today, depending on which version of the website you believe) was the ninth birthday of the Dangerverse. To celebrate the occasion, I posted a horribly evil little chapter in which awful things seem to happen... but did they? You'll have to keep reading to find out!
Moving onto today's topic, I've just finished proofing the revised copy of my 2012 Christmas special (it had a few little mistakes which had slipped past me last year) and approving the file for print. Sing We Now of Christmas is once again available, in e-book from Amazon and Smashwords, or in print from CreateSpace and Etsy!
As for this year's holiday season, In the Bleak Midwinter is nearly finished. I know I said it was finished, but one of the stories insisted it needs another touch. That collection will be going up for sale within the next few weeks. But I've also decided, since I know I have new readers since last December, to do something special.
This year, and probably in future as well, I will be doing a combined edition of my specials through the years. This year's combination book, Christmastime Is Here, will be available through my Etsy site in hard copy, and purchasing it will get you coupon codes to download FREE electronic copies of both original specials from Smashwords!
I may well put a similar condition on all future Etsy sales, sending out coupon codes inside them for discounted or even free e-copies of the hard copy book, similar to Amazon's Kindle Matchbook program. Sound good? Anyone who's recently bought a book through the Etsy site, and would like their coupon code, please let me know...
Yes, I do know it's early to be talking about Christmas. "It's not even November yet, Anne! For crying out loud!" I can hear you all shouting at your screens. (I have super-hearing. It's a big sister thing.) Blame my choir director. He started practicing the music for our Lessons and Carols service with us on Wednesday and got it in my head.
Also, trust me, I know it's not November yet. November is one month I have good reason not to miss. Speaking of which, here is a link to this year's NaNo profile, if anyone would care to be my site buddy. Apparently their site reboot lost a lot of information from earlier years, including my novel titles from NaNo '09 and '10...
Ah well, that's just life, and there's not much I can do about it. Besides, if I remember right, my NaNo project from 2010 was extremely silly and destined from the start to go nowhere useful. It got me through a rough period in my writing, when nothing really seemed to want to work, and for that I'm grateful, but... yeah. Le sigh.
So, another short post, but an informational one, I hope. Comments, as always, are welcome. They do not have to be long, but they really do matter. Thanks for reading on this lovely Sampler Saturday and I'll see you tomorrow!
