I got a lot done this week, writing, cleaning, taking care of dogs. Unfortunately, now that it is the weekend, my body has decided that nothing else shall be done except grabbing tissues and fighting to stay awake. Krystal had some kind of bug the last two days and it looks like it's successfully made the leap over to me...
I promised updates on the Sampler Saturday stuff, and updates you shall have, but much further than that this post will not go. I do apologize for the on-and-off nature of things, but such is life. So, a report on Killdeer, and on In the Bleak Midwinter, you shall have, and then I think I may crawl back into bed.
As you may notice by the color differences above, I've finally managed to get around to making a page for Killdeer here on the website. Mostly this is because I finally found the right setup, colors, picture, etc. for its cover, though partly it's also to try and spur me into finishing it (stuck in the middle of Part Three... grrrr).
If you'd like to see the full spread of Killdeer's cover, including the full back cover text, I posted it to my Facebook page as a photo last night. I know a lot of you come from there to here, but there could be a few who go the other way around. Comments, as always, welcome, as is encouragement to keep writing on the darn thing!
I do also have a full cover done for In the Bleak Midwinter, but one of its stories is not yet finished and I need to get that done, so I'm holding off putting up that cover photo. I was actually hoping to have them both done close to together, since ITBM contains another sequel to Killdeer. (Which happens to be the story that's not done...)
So, there you have it. Progress, not huge amounts but some, and now my body has decided to mess with me, so I probably won't be doing too much today. Leaving me comments, questions, etc. is really very helpful, as it gives me something to think about and build on... thanks, as ever, and see you tomorrow for Surpassing Sunday!
